There’s no moonshine in La Lune — what you’ll have is fine wine. Chef Paul McGivern brings the flavours of France to Australia in his new wine bar in Brisbane.
La Lune is not just about food and wine — it’s also about good conversation. This cozy 38-seater wine bar has an open kitchen, making it easy for diners to talk with chefs and sommeliers as they savour their meals.
Wine Bar Design
La Lune’s commercial kitchen is specially designed to operate without gas cooktops or extraction fans. The kitchen staff, led by Chef Peter Moon, makes mouthwatering meals using a sous vide machine and induction cooktop. Soon, a combi oven will be installed in the kitchen.
What to expect in La Lune: charcuterie, cheese, baguettes and fresh oysters delicately accompanied with favourites like Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Burgundy. In addition, La Lune serves experimental dishes carefully crafted to be paired with handpicked wines. These meals will fully engage your senses.
McGivern curated La Lune’s wine list in collaboration with Nick Farr, winemaker of By Farr Winery, and Olivia Evans, head sommelier at The Wolfe Restaurant.
The commercial kitchen of La Lune Wine Co. was designed to be efficient and to strictly comply with Australia’s food safety standards.
